Las Vegas Event Venues

The postcard version of Las Vegas is marked by an image so iconic, it’s recognized the world-over: lights. Lots of them. Lights dotting casinos, lights splashing hotels, and even lights illuminating drinks. Yet the local’s version of Las Vegas paints another picture entirely. It’s one defined by high-achieving schools, profitable corporations, and charming neighborhoods. So it goes without saying that the types of event venues preferred (and even expected) by locals and visitors could not be more different. That’s why we’ve compiled a list that has something for everyone. Yes, even the two of you looking for a Vegas wedding venue.

The Stratosphere

Capacity: 20-2000

Location: 2000 Las Vegas Blvd S

Great For: Meetings, Luncheons, Presentations

As is wonderfully common in Las Vegas, the Stratosphere marries the event-planning conveniences of a straightforward venue with the guest-pleasing amenities of a hotel. But unlike any other Vegas venue, “The Strat” also offers something else: free access to outdoor decks and unbeatable 103rd and 104th-floor views from America’s tallest freestanding observation tower. With spaces for groups ranging from 20 to 2000, this is one event space whose name doesn’t disappoint.

The Smith Center

Capacity: 2050

Location: 361 Symphony Park Ave

Great For: Recitals, Weddings, Corporate Meetings

When Broadway’s biggest hits tour the country, their Las Vegas venue is a given: The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. If your event is a stage-centric one, what better place to present or perform than the same stage graced by Wicked, Hello Dolly, and Dancing With the Stars Live? In addition to the iconic theatre, The Smith Center offers smaller spaces, courtyards, and lobbies for groups of as few as 30.

Bottiglia Enoteca

Location: 2300 Paseo Verde Pkwy (Anthem)

Hosting an event in Las Vegas does have to scream “Vegas.” And sometimes, the last thing Vegas locals are looking for is such an evening. For all those times, Bottiglia Enoteca is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. The Henderson Italian restaurant has all the goods: great food, gorgeous dining room, airy outdoor patio, and an atmosphere worthy of Instagram. Perfect for team parties or wedding rehearsal dinners.

Caesars Palace

Capacity: 5555 (Theatre) / 5260 (Reception)

Location: 3570 Las Vegas Blvd S

Great For: Conventions

Not many venues allow an out-of-towner to explain the precise location of their meeting to a spouse, kid, or cab driver with the mention of single name: “Caesars.” The landmark property is home to an impressive number of various meeting venues, from small boardrooms to the fit-for-Primetime Colosseum that seats more than 4000. The famous Casino and hotel is suitable for most any event, it earns our recommendation for especially large or complex event needs.

Wedgewood Weddings

Capacity: 250

Location: 5500 East Flamingo Road

Great For: Weddings

A little bit of everything: that’s the calling card of Wedgewood Weddings, a destination that establishes visitors between the iconic lights of the Las Vegas Strip and the peace and refreshment of the mountains and a round of golf. They call it the “Oasis in the Desert,” and their multiple banquet rooms and picturesque outdoor landscapes will quickly show you why.

Bellagio

Capacity: 2000 Outdoor Pool / 600 The Club

Location: 3600 Las Vegas Blvd S

Great For: Conventions, Large Meetings

A venue so iconic, it was the plot of Ocean’s 11, the Bellagio is best known for its dancing fountains. But inside, a top-notch world of service and accommodations awaits. Part of the MGM family, the Bellagio knows a thing or two about hospitality. Spaces include an art gallery, a massive outdoor pool area, multiple lounges, and even spaces designed for weddings.

Henderson Convention Center

Capacity: 700 (Banquet) / 1200 (Theatre)

Location: 200 Water St

Great For: Large Conventions, Trade Shows

Looking for a traditional turnkey convention experience without the sights and sounds of the Strip? Head to Henderson, a suburb that’s created an industry out of their proximity to Las Vegas. A blank slate that features everything you’d expect, and a staff well-versed the ins and outs of convention planning.
