Downtown Nashville Skyline

No one knows how to party better than Music City. It goes without saying that Nashville is home to some of the country’s finest music venues and concert halls around. But the capital of Tennessee is equally well-footed for intimate gatherings, corporate parties, and professional networking events, thanks to a slew of impressive event spaces. Here, we present a pitch-perfect list of our personal favorites for corporate parties, private gatherings, and everything in between.

The Belmont Mansion

Great For: Receptions, Formal Dinners

Constructed in 1849, the Belmont Mansion is a Tennessee landmark with no parallel. With 36 rooms sprawled over 19,000 square feet, this is a venue that you have to see to believe. Once a private summer home complete with a personal zoo and art gallery, today the Belmont Mansion is available for private events ranging from intimate elopements to large dinner parties.

Music City Center

Location: 201 5th Ave S

Great For: Conventions

Those hosting an event for large crowds need to look no further than Music City Center, a sprawling convention center so well crafted it’s caught the attention (and dreams) of city planners nationwide. Music City Center has everything you’d expect from a big city convention venue: spacious halls, grand ballrooms, meeting rooms, and more. But it also has something rarely seen in such large spaces: class. Typical trade show events are more than welcome, but be warned: your surroundings may quickly make you feel underdressed.

UP Rooftop Lounge

Time to get swanky. UP, a classy lounge with an eclectic menu and unbeatable views of the Nashville skyline is an after-work hotspot among the city’s well-heeled. But few know that their City View meeting room is available for private events, as is the entire lounge for those who desire an eye-popping evening for a crowd up to 125.

White Avenue Studio

Capacity: 200 Seated / 75 Standing

Location: 2517 White Ave

If the clean walls and simple lines of the White Avenue Studio remind you of a blank slate, it’s for good reason. The aptly named Studio is a frequent destination for photoshoots and video production. But the flexible space and convenient location also make for a knockout space for a casual private party or small reception. Among the Studio’s most frequent reservation types: record release parties. This is Nashville, after all.

The Castle

Capacity: 300+

Location: 1393 Old Hillsboro Rd

Great For: Weddings, Large Parties

Who knew that Al Capone had such an eye for design? Believe it or not, this fairytale venue was built under the direction of the famous mobster in 1930, eventually becoming a gambling hall and a restaurant before becoming the Gatsby-Esque event venue it is today. Perfect for a year-end company party or, naturally, a wedding.

Musicians Hall of Fame

Capacity: 50-2000

Location: 401 Gay St

Great For: Award Shows, Charitable Galas, Corporate Events

A built-in stage features an eye-popping backdrop composed of guitars and offers a turnkey setup for musical acts, company presentations, or award show acceptance speeches. Guests are granted access to the 30,000 square-foot museums, offering guests a melodious alternative to unwanted idle chit chat.

Nashville Symphony

Capacity: 1800

Location: 1 Symphony Place

Great For: Galas, Concerts

A light-filled corporate meeting. A regal ball. A private concert. The Nashville Symphony Schermerhorn Symphony Center features a wide variety of spaces for most any meeting or party. The Schermerhorn’s Board Room features leather chairs in a tech-ready space perfect for an all-day meeting, while the Curb Family Music Education Hall is frequently used for conferences and seminars. For holiday parties or weddings, the center’s 11 venues (including the 1800-seat Laura Turner Concert Hall) are hard to beat.

The Johnny Cash Museum

Capacity: 50 – 200

Location: 119 3rd Ave S

Great For: Business Meetings, Meetups

At the number one music museum in the world (according to not one, not two, but three national magazines), music takes center stage. But events are welcome, too. The onsite event center can hold as many as 200 guests or as few as 50 for special meetings, birthday parties, or family gatherings. Had enough chit chat? Guests can take a stroll through music history with the largest collection of Johnny Cash memorabilia in the world.
